”Adopt a School” are community initiatives that provide solutions to local schools and have a positive
impact on the “whole” community.
Adopt a school initiatives can be a project of an individual group or organization or, as we suggest,
a coalition of local community stakeholders (churches, youth service organizations, businesses,
government, and community leaders)
Generous Community provides “Adopt a school” certification and mentor training:
Your organization is trained to provide within your capacity:
School Assessments
Coalition Building & Partnership Recruitment
Mentoring
Tutoring
Sports & Recreation
Leadership & Character Education, etc.
And short projects to include:
Landscaping
Food & clothing distribution
Internships
Job placement
Fundraising, social, and holiday events, etc.
Adopt a School Initiatives are equipped to support ALL Students. Normally students are divided by two behaviors
or circumstances: 1) “At Risk” and, 2) “Leadership Ready”
